Reflection 5

Learning objectives are extremely essential to us educators for a variety of reasons! The first and most important reason is the ability to set children up for success. Giving students proper evaluations that correspond to objectives and understanding where your students are in their learning journey The good news is that if you get it wrong, you can go back and fix it to assist students to develop. Another advantage is that it allows the teacher to give pupils the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of a topic. Overall, a learning objective is a statement that defines exactly what students will be able to perform as a result of instruction at the end of the session. These goals should be oriented toward the students, actionable, and quantifiable. And the ABCD formula hits all of those points to help create your learning objectives.  This formula gives you the ability as a teacher to see measurable while in degree. And behavior is giving an action so, this formula hits the main points.

Ms. Lauren's presentation taught me a lot about lesson preparation and grading. I know how to utilize the grading 1-4 system to aid with report cards and to make it easier for the kids to grasp. Also, while creating a rubric, make sure the phrasing is straightforward and easy for a child to read because this will help the youngster comprehend what you want for the project. Lastly, have accommodations for students like quiet offices which I thought was a good idea because it gives the child a space to focus on their work. Another accommodation that I think I will use in the future is small group read-alouds because it gives students the opportunity to engage with each other. But, something that I disagree with is having timers for accommodations because I fear it will give students anxiety by rushing to get it done on time. I definitely can relate to this because I remember in elementary school a teacher did that and it gave me so much anxiety. So, I am wondering is it really a good idea for accommodation?
